Millage Rate
The South Whitehall Township 2023 millage rate on Real Estate Tax, which is our largest revenue producing source, is 3.31975 mills. This rate includes 2.84975 mills for the Township General Fund and 0.47 mills for the Fire Fund. These rates represent no tax increase from 2023.
Water and Sewer Fund
There was a 7.1% increase to the water rate and no change to the sewer rate for 2022.

Refuse Fund
The Refuse Fund provides the following services to the residents of the Township: weekly curbside trash, recycling, grass(April-Nov) and one bulk item pickup; curbside fall leaf cleanup; and the Yard Waste center at the Municipal Complex. In 2019 the Township went through a competitive bid process and received three bids. A three year contract was awarded to the lowest bidder, Advanced Disposal. The 2023 Refuse rate is $95 quarterly / $380 annually.
