Request for Investigation
Complaints pertaining to property maintenance issues or zoning-related matters are to be submitted on a Township “Request For Investigation” form. The form may be submitted in any of the following three ways:
- Drop off the completed form at the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building, or
- Scan the completed form and email it to info@southwhitehall.com, or
- Mail the completed form to:
South Whitehall Township
Attn: Request for Investigation
4444 Walbert Avenue
Allentown, PA 18104
The Community Development Department will investigate the requests to determine if they are valid and take the appropriate action with achieving a positive result in mind. Our goal is to first gain code compliance with the property owner. If there is difficulty in gaining code compliance, the Township has other avenues to use, such as filing citations to the Magistrate and engaging a “self-help” remedy. If the complaint reaches the magisterial level, the complainant may be asked to be a witness and assist the Township in its case at the Magistrate hearing.
