Robotics Classes and Camps Instructed by Built by Me STEM Learning! Built by Me has been helping children grow into Creators with their STEM programs and camps in PA and NJ for years. In 2024, we brought them to SWT!
Due to the popularity of the Summer Robotics classes, we have scheduled Fall & Winter Sessions! See schedules below!
FALL SESSION: FULL! Don't worry, there are a few spots available in the Winter Session below!
LEGO® Robotics and Coding- Amazing Engineers (Grades 2nd- 3rd) This fun and interactive STEM program focuses on coding and robotics, introducing students to the engineering design process using LEGO® Spike Essential Robotics Sets. The young engineers will work in pairs building models, such as a swing and a submarine. They will define problems, brainstorm solutions, and test their prototypes to improve their ideas. Children will gain confidence and challenge their creativity as they build and program their construction projects. Join us for an inspiring journey!
- October 28- December 2 (6 weeks)
- Monday evenings, 5:30pm- 6:30pm
- Held in the Parkway Manor Elementary School Library (768 Parkway Road)

LEGO® Robotics and Coding with Scratch MIT - Science Connections (Grades 3 - 5)
This fun and interactive program explores many aspects of STEM using LEGO® Spike Essential Robotics Sets. Focusing on earth, physical, and life sciences, students will work in pairs to build prototypes as they learn the engineering design process. They will then code their designs with Scratch MIT, a block-based code, to perform various tasks and functions. Young engineers will build a wind turbine and an earthquake simulator as they learn and refine their coding and problem-solving skills while challenging their creativity. Join us for an inspiring journey!

LEGO® Robotics and Coding – Adventures Class: Offered Spring 2024 (Grades 1st- 3rd) This fun, interactive program will introduce students to coding and robotics using the LEGO® Education Robotics Construction Sets. Children will learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, and the names of the robotic components. They will work in teams of 2 on guided projects building models, attaching sensors and motors, and using a computer to program the model’s behavior. Children will gain confidence and understanding as they build and code their robots.
LEGO® Robotics and Coding with Scratch MIT - ON the Go Class: Offered Spring 2024 (Grades 3rd- 5th) This interactive program explores many aspects of STEM using LEGO® Essential Education Robotics Construction Sets. Focusing on means of transportation, students will work in pairs to build prototypes as they learn the engineering design process. They will then code their designs with Scratch MIT, a block-based code, to perform various tasks and functions. Young engineers will construct ships and helicopters as they learn and refine their observation, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
LEGO® Robotics and Coding - Summer Fun Camp! Grades 2-4. This fun and interactive camp will introduce children to coding, robotics, and engineering using the LEGO® Education Robotics Construction Sets. Throughout the week, campers will participate in hands-on STEM activities and team-building challenges to learn concepts such as sequencing, debugging and troubleshooting. They will work in pairs on building models using sensors and motors that will allow them to code their prototypes to simulate amusement park rides. Young engineers will learn and gain confidence as they build and test their designs, reinforcing these concepts.
Robotics with mBot Robot Camp- Summer Fun Camp! Grades 4- 6. If your child is excited about robots and coding this is the perfect camp for them. Young engineers will discover the basics of coding and robotics as they learn how to program the mBot robot to complete a variety of tasks, building and expanding their coding skills along the way. This fun and interactive program will have them track and probably chase their mBots through mazes and other activities.
