Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of South Whitehall Township (referred to herein as the “Board”) will hold a public hearing on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. in the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, for the following zoning appeals:
ZHB-2024-15: The appeal of St. Joseph the Worker School (Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown) seeking approval in accordance with the South Whitehall Township Zoning Ordinance, as codified (referred to herein as the “Ordinance”), Section 350-48(s)(4)(E)(i)(3), Elementary/Secondary Schools, to erect an identification Ground Mount Sign that includes electronic digital messaging for the purpose of announcing events, programs or other matters of general interest to the public. The subject property is located at 1858 Applewood Drive, Orefield and is zoned R-3. Tax ID No. 546771820477 1.
ZHB-2024-16: The appeal of Triple Net Investments CI, LLC c/o Joseph Petrucci seeking a one (1) year time extension in accordance with Ordinance Section 350-13(d)(3), Zoning Permits, for variance and special exception approvals previously granted by the Board in Appeal No. ZHB- 2022-09. Section 350-13(d)(3) requires an applicant receiving zoning relief from the Board to commence an authorized use or the construction thereof within one (1) year from the date of the grant of such relief. The applicant previously received a one (1) year time extension from the Board by written decision dated January 04, 2024, in Appeal No. ZHB-2023-12. The applicant now seeks an additional one (1) year time extension. The subject property is located at 1429 Eck Road, Allentown and is zoned IC-1. Tax ID No. 547720402074 1.
ZHB-2024-17: The appeal of Landston Equities, LLC seeking a one (1) year time extension in accordance with Ordinance Section 350-13(d)(3), Zoning Permits, for variance and special exception approvals previously granted by the Board in Appeal No. ZHB-2021-05. The subject property is located at 1810 PA Route 309, Allentown and is zoned HC. Tax ID No. 547723936872. The above-referenced properties are in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA.
Copies of any plans, applications, and/or supporting documents that were submitted are available for public inspection at the Township Building during normal business hours where they may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof (it is recommended that appointments be made in advance). All appellants or their authorized representatives must attend. All objectors and interested parties are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to be heard.
Notice is also hereby given that the Board will hold an executive session on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. for the purpose of discussing a personnel issue in accordance with 65 Pa.C.S. §§ 707(a), 708(a)(1). The executive session will be closed to the general public.
