The Board of Commissioners meetings and the Planning Commission meetings are held in the Township Municipal Complex Public Meeting Room at located at 4444 Walbert Ave.  In addition, they may be accessed virtually via GoToMeeting. Zoning Hearing Board

Zoning Hearing Board meetings are held in person at the Township Municipal Building at 4444 Walbert Ave. They are also streamed on-line via the link found below. Please note that no virtual public participation will be allowed and no recording of the hearing will be posted on the Township website.

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of South Whitehall Township will hold a public hearing on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. in the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, for the following zoning appeal:

THE ZONING HEARING BOARD WILL HOLD AN EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 6 P.M. TO DISCUSS PERSONNEL MATTERS PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED HEARING.

ZHB-2024-14: The appeal of Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. (PCFLV), seeking: (i) a Variance from Section 350-47(a)(5)(B)(i) to authorize an addition of a multi-purpose room to PCFLV’s existing nonconforming office building that would expand the office building’s occupied floor area by forty-nine percent (49%) where Section 350-47(a)(5)(B)(i) only allows up to a twenty-five (25%) expansion of a nonconforming structure’s occupied floor area; and (ii) a Variance from Section 350-48(o)(6)(D) to authorize the above-described expansion without the provision of a large off-street loading zone where Section 350-48(o)(6)(D) would require the provision of at least one (1) off-street loading zone. The subject property is located at 4501 Crackersport Road, Allentown, PA, 18104 and is zoned HC (Highway Commercial). Tax ID No. 547659984029.
The above-referenced property is in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA. Copies of any plans, applications, and/or supporting documents that were submitted are available for public inspection at the Township Building during normal business hours where they may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof (it is recommended that appointments be made in advance). All appellants or their authorized representatives must attend. All objectors and interested parties are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to be heard.
