Explore Covered Bridge Park

From live animals to creek explorations, we have ways for you to get outside, learn something new and even play! South Whitehall Township has partnered with the Wildlands Conservancy to offer these programs for all who wish to join!

All programs are held at Covered Bridge Park, 2466 Wehr Mill Road, Allentown, PA 18104.

All programs are $5 and require preregistration.

8-9:00pm at Pavilion #1

How many fireflies can you count? This is what summer nights are all about: lightning bugs and good old fashioned s’mores!

Creek Critters

Sunday, August 4

1-2:00pm at Pavilion #2

Turn over stones and scramble through the Jordan Creek to find hidden treasures: dragonfly larvae, caddisflies, and maybe even some crayfish. Discover all of the funky adaptations these critters have and what we can learn about the creek. South Whitehall Township provides s’mores.

Meet and greet one of our owls during a live owl presentation, then join our naturalist on a walk to call in resident owls. South Whitehall Township provides s’mores.

Explore the Sky

Saturday, November 16

8-9:00pm at Pavilion #1

Telescopes and binoculars in hand, we’ll try to catch the falling star show of the Leonid Meteor shower, along with the moon and visible planets. Alternative starry program in case of cloudy skies.
