Chess Club – Parkway Manor Elementary School

After School Chess Club

Over the course of 6 weeks, Parkway Manor Chess Club provides chess instruction to students in grades 2nd through 5th at Parkway Manor Elementary.  Students participate once a week after school on either Monday’s or Wednesday’s.  Students are welcome regardless of skill level.

All children enrolled will receive snack at each session and a Chess Club T-shirt.

Transportation home is not provided.

Club supervisors are current Parkway Manor parents, all of whom have Parkland volunteer clearances.  Mentors include advanced chess players from Springhouse Middle School and Parkland High School.  Instruction is headed by National Master Matthew O’brien.

This program operates in cooperation with the Parkway Manor PTO but is not sponsored by the PTO. Instead, it solely relies on registration fees and generous community support.
