SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of South Whitehall Township will conduct a Remote Access Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of reviewing and deciding the following Zoning Appeals.  Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Public Hearing will be held electronically via the “GoToMeeting” platform. To access the Public Hearing through your computer or other electronic device, type the following Web Address into your Web Browser: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/390538037. The website will request you to download and install the GoToMeeting application. ZHB-2020-01: The CONTINUANCE of the Appeal of Gulamali A. Jaffer, Fatima G. Jaffer, Fatma A. Jaffer from the February 26, 2020, hearing, seeking (a) a variance from Section 350-44(c) of the Zoning Ordinance to exceed the maximum impervious lot coverage of 15% on a residential building lot of 6.539 acres in area;  (b) to request an interpretation that the lot is an existing lawful nonconforming lot with a road frontage of 60’and no variance from the current required minimum  lot frontage is needed -OR- an extension of the prior variances granted to maintain a lot frontage of 60’ along the public road -OR-  a variance from Section 350-24(c)(4) to maintain a lot frontage of 60’ along the public road when 125’ is required; and (c) an interpretation of Section 350-44(c) of the Zoning Ordinance that the maximum impervious lot coverage is 81,395 square feet based upon the Appellants’ engineering calculations.  The subject property is located at 3721 Sturbridge Place and is zoned R-2 Low Density Residential. ZHB-2020-02: The Appeal of Forge Development Group has been CONTINUED at the request of the Applicant until further notice.

The above-referenced properties are in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA.  Copies of the Zoning Appeal Applications and any site plans and supporting documents that were submitted to the Township will be posted and available for public viewing through the Township’s Website at www.southwhitehall.com.  All appellants, or their representative with legal standing, must participate in the remote access hearing.  All Objectors and Interested Parties are invited to participate and will have the opportunity to be heard at the remote access hearing.  Objectors or Interested Parties to a Zoning Appeal matter are also permitted to submit any written questions or comments at least five (5) days prior to the Public Hearing date:
