The Township is excited to announce that it continues to work through the campus master plan to update and modernize the existing township building and overall campus. These updates will provide for a more streamlined resident experience and allow for more efficient day-to-day operations.
The renovated facility will include a modernized experience for both residents and businesses conducting work with the Township. A new public meeting room will be built on the east end of the existing building. Additional conference rooms, public restrooms and increased technology will also compliment the project. Green design alternatives such as spray irrigation and use of recycled building materials are also included in the plan. With the amount of activity happening on the campus, parking is also being expanded. A new resident yard waste drop-off site will be built on the adjacent township lot to free up additional parking and provide a more efficient design. South Whitehall Township will be temporarily moving offices to Suite 410 in the Roma Building (1605 North Cedar Crest Blvd.) while the township campus undergoes a renovation. Normal business hours (8am-4pm; M-F) and operations will continue at the Township Building until January 31 . Starting on February 3, all Township business will be conducted at the Roma Building during normal business hours.
The campus renovation project is scheduled to kick off on February 3 and Township staff hopes to move back into the 4444 Walbert Avenue location by the end of 2020 or early 2021. The Parkland Library will also be undergoing a renovation in 2020, but will continue operating out of the existing library until further notice.
