Playground Counselor – CLOSED (Opens March 1, 2017)
South Whitehall Township is seeking applications for Summer Playground Program Counselors. Counselors will report directly to their Playground Supervisor and will be responsible for leading a schedule of diverse programs consisting of competitive and non-competitive recreation activities. Activities may include: sports, games, teambuilding, arts and crafts, environmental education and special events. Counselors are expected to keep all program participants active and engaged from 9:00am – 1:00pm (M-F).
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Application deadline is Friday, May 20, 2016. ($8.50 – $9.50 p/hr)

Field Ranger – CLOSED
This part-time position is required to work nights and weekends throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons. Performs a variety of monitoring and reporting work for the South Whitehall Township park areas, safeguarding equipment and facilities against possible loss or damage from theft, vandalism or other causes. The Field Ranger is required to provide the public with a variety of information about parks, recreation programs and facilities, and solve day-to-day problems without immediate supervision.
The Field Ranger’s routine will consist of checking up on playgrounds, ball fields, sport courts, park bathrooms and pavilion rentals outside of normal office hours. The Field Ranger will have supplies readily available to restock facilities in case of immediate need. This position may also serve as a support role during large recreation events such as, but not limited to, the Movies and Concerts in the Park programs.
