National Night Out – August 1!

In partnership with the National Association of Town Watch, the South Whitehall Township Police Department will be co-sponsoring the 34th annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Over 38 million people in more than 16,000 communities throughout the country will join forces to promote police-community partnerships, crime, drug and violence prevention, safety and neighborhood unity.

SWT residents are encouraged to participate by turning on their porch lights and getting out to meet their neighbors. When residents on a block know each other, the neighborhood and the community is safer and stronger.

We have some new and exciting events happening this year including Medivac landing at 5:00 p.m., a 40’ obstacle course and we will be ending the evening with the Lego Batman movie. Batman and Wonder woman will be making an appearance prior to the movie.

National Night Out is an extraordinary way to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police-community partnerships.
