February 27, 2019 Zoning Hearing Board Public Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of South Whitehall Township will conduct a public hearing on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., in the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building located at 4444 Walbert Ave, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, for the following zoning appeals:


ZHB-2019-01:  The appeal of Steven Camp of Allentown (Walbert Ave) DG, LLC, REQUESTING A MODIFICATION TO PRIOR A ZONING Hearing Board decision for the construction of a retail store (Dollar General) at 2032 Walbert Avenue.  The Appellant is seeking a modification to the Zoning Hearing Board’s decision and order dated July 2, 2018 for Zoning Appeal 2018-03 regarding the Dollar General project. Specifically, the appellant is seeking an amendment to Decision and Order Paragraph A.1 Building Setback subparagraph (f) as it pertains to parking lot illumination restrictions. The parcels are zoned Neighborhood Commercial (NC). Tax I.D. Parcel Nos. 549705045134 and No. 549705249213. Glenna Fonzone is the owner.


ZHB-2019-02:   The appeal of Posocco Equities, owner of a proposed four lot subdivision known as Blue Barn Estates located at 1530 Blue Barn Road, is seeking a Favorable Interpretation to Section 350-42(d)(4)(A)(i) that the minimum offset for a driveway of a detached dwelling does not apply when the driveway aligns with an intersection. In the alternate, a Variance is requested. Posocco Equities is the listed owner of the property located at 1530 Blue Barn Road, Allentown, PA.  The parcel is zoned R-5 (Medium Density Residential).   Tax I.D. Parcel No. 546699789671


The above-referenced properties are in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA.  Copies of any plans, applications, and/or supporting documents that were submitted can be available for public inspection at the Township Building during normal business hours where they may be examined without charge, or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof (it is recommended that appointments be made in advance).  All appellants, or their representative with legal standing, must attend.  All objectors and interested parties are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to be heard.
